2 New Black Belts
Saturday June 16th 2007 the grade took place at Martial Arts Incorporated, 32 North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7.
31 people attended and 28 successfully passed.
Louise Quinn, Kiefer Crosbie and Sinead Courtney successfully achieved Black Belt.
Declan Kidd, Robert Devane, Jamie Lawlor and Derek Foley oversaw the 6 hour grading.
"It was unfortunate that 3 people failed but we don't give away easy belts and we will of course help them to train up for the next grading. Everyone else passed with flying colours and nobody just barely passed their grade," said head instructor Declan Kidd.
"I was very happy with the sparring part of the grade. We (the grading instructors) got in the ring to make sure there were no easy fights. The Brown Belts also had to fight 2 and 3 opponents at the same time. They did exceptionally well and achieved their Black Belts. Congratulations to them all," Robert Devane said.
